Multilingual Room Identification
All main amentity spaces are identified in nine languages–all spoken by the student body. The text serves, not only as a unifier for the LHS community, but also as a learning opportunity for everyone.
Glass Graphics &
Plaques
Unique, custom map illustrations differentiate the school’s floors. The content of the maps zooms out with each floor, starting with the streets of Portland and concluding with an infographic of the living languages of the world.
Paired with each map is a plaque describing the significance of the graphic, providing a passive, educational opportunity.
